While in Key Largo you can visit the nation's first underwater park, John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park and the adjacent Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary which includes 200 square miles of coral reefs, sea grass beds and mangrove swamps. There are some 50 types of coral and 1000 of species of fish.
